Culinary Superstar Andrew Zimmerns Speaks Out About Addiction

Andrew Zimmern, host of Travel Channel’s Bizarre Foods recently inspired and entertained those in Houston, Texas by sharing his past struggles with addiction.  The event took place at the 34th Annual Spring Luncheon in The Waggoners Foundation Speaker Series. Thousands gathered at the Hilton Americans-Houston, as Keynote speaker Zimmern told the personal story of his drug and alcohol filled past, and provided messages of hope and recovery for his listeners.

I knew what it was and I wanted it. You cannot think your way into right acting. Recovery isn’t a thinking thing, it’s an action thing.”
