Awakenings for Women is a South Florida gem, located in the midst of the rehab capital of the nation making this claim significant. All residents of Awakenings for Women, regardless of whether they are in Phase I, Phase II, or Phase III, receive the same compassionate, knowledgeable support by our staff.
We have offered sober living environments for men in substance abuse recovery for over twenty-five years. The staff at our sober living community for women, Awakenings for Women, makes the process of returning to daily living a goal that women seeking sobriety for the long term want to attain.
Our staff has personal experience in recovery and understands the challenges of early recovery from substance abuse and addictive behaviors. There is no judgment about progress there is only support. Sometimes that support comes in the way of calling a resident out for inappropriate behavior, or recognizing her for good work. Because there are mutual experiences at structured supervised, sober homes, the women at Awakenings for Women know the staff understands their struggles and their triumphs. Such, camaraderie helps the newly sober woman overcome isolation and guilt and keep challenges and expectations realistic.
Awakenings for Women is dedicated to helping women succeed at early recovery and to regain their footing in life. Every day, because women have a variety of schedules, we make sure staff is available at all times to help. That means at least 3 staff members are present on site during the day. At evening time, there is always one staff member who stays overnight with an additional 2 staff working in the evening. Should a counselor be needed there is always someone on call day or night.
Our dedication to helping our women means that everyone is kept safe and secure at all times. Awakenings for Women, a supervised, structured, sober living community, engages staff that do not tolerate inappropriate behavior in any way, but for those who relapse and want to try again, the door is always open and the staff always welcoming.
